He is the author of 'How Charts Lie: Getting Smarter About Visual Information' (2019), 'The Truthful Art' (2016) and 'The Functional Art’ (2013). Cairo currently consults with companies like Google, and has provided visualization training to the European Union, Eurostat, the CDC, the Army National Guard, and many others. He lives in Miami, Florida.
